At CoreCivic, Don led large-scale operational integrations, overseeing offsite medical operations, including Centralized Scheduling, Provider Network, Claims Processing, Telehealth, and Data & Analytics. His strategic initiatives reduced offsite medical costs by nearly $22M per year, increased access to care, and optimized claims processing accuracy to over 99%. He successfully expanded the provider network to over 600+ partners nationwide. Beyond financial and operational impact, Don’s leadership fostered a culture of trust, empathy, and innovation, reflected in the highest engagement scores in Health Services.

Previously, Don worked as a healthcare strategy and management consultant with a focus on M&A integration, revenue cycle management, and IT transformation. His experience at North Highland, Deloitte, and Chartis allowed him to lead high-profile post-merger system consolidations, including EHR installations, M&A integration activities for 26+ hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the outsourcing of revenue cycle operations. He has also spearheaded AI and machine learning implementations to improve clinical documentation, reduce denials, and accelerate cash flow, reinforcing his expertise in digital transformation and operational integration.

Don holds a Master’s in Healthcare Administration (MHA) from Trinity University and an MBA from Lipscomb University. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Trinity University, where he was a collegiate athlete, playing NCAA Division I and III tennis.
